About this app
I'm a dad who created this app for his daughter when she was about one and a half years old. While I didn't want to give the device to her at first, children obviously are interested in what their parents are using. What she really liked to do is to look at the photos on my iPhone and also use her fingers to swipe through the gallery. Obviously, when touching the screen, kids will accidentally close the app, open others, change settings, etc. When the screen is off, they will activate the phone and enter the wrong PIN. Something you really don't want to happen too often.
iOS offers a feature called "Guided Access" which allows you to temporarily restrict your iPhone to a single app. However, the default photos app in iOS is still way to complicated for a small kid to play around with.
This EasyKids Gallery app is a solution for that. It does only one thing: You can create a photo gallery from the existing photos on your device. When you activate Guided Access mode for this app, the layout automatically switches to a more restricted view which only shows one of your selected photos at a time and allows to swipe left and right to get to the previous or next photo. Nothing else.
